Astaghfirullah I’m saddened to give such a poor review for an Islamic school but the principal of this school is so horrible I couldn’t not say anything. I honestly don’t know how he’s still in his position when for years parents and staff have been extremely unhappy at his mismanagement..Not only is he a bad educator and only cares about stats (not people) he also doesn’t know how to act around or even speak to children (or parents or staff)!! Time and time again he is rude, disrespectful and unempathetic!! all this coated in self-righteousness and a very very very high self worth..How is he allowed to run a school??Sorry but this school would be great without him..

This is a great school that has very dedicated teachers. My son loves to attend class and has progressed significantly. The principal is a very commited man who makes sure everything runs smoothly and according to our islamic values. May Allah bless you all.

I am saddened to see such negative and obviously false reviews about this beautiful school. All of my children attended the Australian Islamic College growing up. They loved the school and their teachers. The staff were diligent and dedicated to their craft, making learning engaging and memorable.I have known the current principal throughout the different stages of his career. First as the science teacher of my eldest son, many years later as the guidance counseller/dean of students and now as the principal. I always found him to be very respectful, supportive and sincere in his efforts to address any of my or the children's concerns. As an educator he encouraged structure and discipline, emphasised the importance of Islamic values, the practice of virtue, morality and manners. He was deeply devoted to the holistic education, growth and development of his students. This was evident recently when I attended my grandson's kindy graduation accompanied by my adult sons he taught a decade ago. They stopped by administration to greet the principal. He warmly welcomed us into his office to sit down and catch up. He enthusiastically asked about their lives since leaving school and what they do now. He was so genuinely happy to see his old students as successful adults. May the time and effort he invests in our children and all the good he teaches them weigh heavily on his scales. Ameen!

Absolutely brilliant school, was given mixed reviews by a lot of people in the community, even some of my closest friends. Managed to get a spot for my 2 kids last year and definitely amazed with what I've seen.Teachers are on-top of things, homework gets checked and marked everyday, there always seems to be something going on and despite being polar opposites, both my daughter's have managed to fit in very well.Front reception is well managed and I get sms updates and emails about important things that are going on. Haven't joined the PnF committee yet, but that's probably the next step from here. The building works are going along nicely and there should be some new classes coming up soon too.

Terrible school. The children are the worse bullies. I know from experience as I went there as kid up until year 4 and left as I couldn’t tolerate it anymore. 15 years later my little sister is getting bullied. I know all school has their bullies but AIC bullies are just different when I went to a public school I was shocked at how well mannered and much nicer the kids were never had to deal with bullies or saw it happen as often as it does in AIC. I think the schools needs to teach and implement more around bullying. Will speak to the school about this matter.

The school has progressed tremendously in the past few years, with more focus on early childhood development, and new state of the art buildings. The teachers are friendly and caring. We've only had positive experiences with the school as a family.

I am disappointed to read all the negative comments that are far from the truth. My children have been to this school and their best memories are from when they were at AIC Dianella. This school is fantastic. The school community is multicultural, children share their religion and traditions with everyone with pride. Teachers are hard working, supportive and friendly. Management are always looking for ways to make improvements that benefit students.

The school principal is horrible, and he treats the teachers terribly,. That is why the teachers leave and this affects the wellbeing of the students. He is angry and bitter. The teachers work very hard. He should try to show more appreciation. He is terrible leader who is micro managing everyone. Staff are afraid of him with his unreasonable demands. No wonder so many teachers are leaving the profession!!!!!

I have been working at AIC Dianella for two years now and attended the school as a child. My family and I have a long history and a strong connection to the school. My father worked at the school for many years and my siblings and I completed our primary education here.It has been beautiful seeing how the school has grown to include the wide range of subjects, clubs and competitions both religious and secular. Even more beautiful, the staffs dedication to their students has resulted in undeniable academic excellence. The school prides itself on being extremely collaborative and inclusive of all staff needs. Personally, I have felt very supported and guided by the principal (Mr Tarin), admin and staff.Mr Tarin facilitates team bonding/building activities which has resulted in a very tight-knit community and family at AIC Dianella... and not to mention all the food. It's safe to say, it was one of my better decisions to work here. Insha'Allah many more years to come.
